Meet Gabriella

Hello, and welcome!

My name is
Gabriella (Gabby), and I am the Director and Founder of Nurturing Possibilities Pty Ltd.

I'm passionate about supporting children and families through early intervention using evidence-based, family-centred, strengths-focused, and play-based approaches. My practice is also informed by Humanistic Play Therapy and Interplay principles, which emphasise connection, emotional safety, understanding behaviour as communication, and building strong relationships that support participation and growth. I work with children aged 0–9 years across their home, early learning, school, and community settings in Western Sydney, working closely with families to achieve meaningful progress and inclusive outcomes.

The name Nurturing Possibilities reflects my belief that
having a developmental delay or disability should never limit a child’s potential, and that relationships, care, and warmth are central to every step of the journey. I strive to create environments where children feel safe, supported, included, and empowered, and where families are active partners in their child’s development.

At the heart of my work is a belief that children thrive through strong relationships, family-centred support, and interventions that fit naturally into everyday life.

Qualifications & Experience

From Passion to Purpose

My passion for supporting children and making a meaningful difference led me to a career in Early Childhood Education and Care. I spent eight years working as an Early Childhood Teacher, leading a preschool room and serving as Educational Leader within a not-for-profit long day care early learning centre.

These experiences provided me with a strong foundation in children’s learning and development and highlighted where my strengths and passions lay — working closely with children and families to create meaningful, lasting impact. This ultimately sparked my transition into Early Intervention, where I could support children and families during the most critical stages of development.

Supporting Children and Families Through Early Intervention

Since 2019, I have worked extensively in the NDIS Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) space, delivering individualised intervention and support that helps children and families build skills, confidence, participation, and meaningful connections in everyday life.

I have supported children with a wide range of strengths, interests, and developmental needs, including:

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Global developmental delay
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Speech and language delays
- Intellectual Disability
- Sensory Processing Differences
- Fragile X Syndrome
- Physical differences and disabilities
- Profound bilateral hearing loss
- Children who have experienced early trauma or adversity

I am a certified Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) therapist, trained in this evidence-based approach that helps young children with developmental delays and autism develop their social, communication, and learning skills. I am also a certified Humanistic Play Therapist and Interplay Practitioner. This training has deepened my understanding of behaviour as communication and strengthened my ability to support children through connection, emotional safety, co-regulation, and play-based therapeutic approaches.

I have worked as an Early Intervention Key Worker across a variety of settings, including 1:1 clinic-based sessions, group programs, early learning environments, schools, and community settings. My approach is always individualised, strengths-based, and responsive to each child’s interests, needs, and developmental goals.

Alongside direct therapy, I have held leadership and mentoring roles, including Team Leader and Therapy Mentor. In these positions, I led multidisciplinary teams of Key Workers, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners, and Physiotherapists to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed interventions for children and their families.
